Catalog Computer

There is one dedicated catalog computer available in the Youth Department, for use in searching for library materials, both locally and throughout the Montgomery County network. This computer can also be used to place requests and manage your library account.

Internet Computers

The Youth Department has two internet-connected computers, available solely for the use of patrons 3 - 12 years of age. A library card is required to sign onto a computer, and each user is allowed up to three 30-minute sessions a day.

Printer

Computers in the Youth Department print to a black and white laser printer. Each page printed costs 25 cents.

AWE Early Literacy Station

The Early Literacy Station's 50 educational software programs span a variety of subjects and skills for children ages 10 and under, and are displayed using engaging graphics and intuitive menus. With its colorful keyboard, child-sized mouse, and touch-screen, this is a game computer that kids as young as 2 years will love to use all by themselves.

Notebook Computers

For parents and caregivers who visit library with their young children, we offer Wi-Fi-connected notebook computers for use in the Youth Department. These computers can be checked out for 30 minutes at a time, so while the children play, you can check your email!
