Youth Department Policies

Our department has age based policies:

Ages 0 - 7 - Must remain in sight and be accompanied by a parent, guardian or caregiver.

Ages 7 - 9 - Must have a parent, guardian or caregiver in the library.

Ages 10 and up - can be in the library unattended.

Ages 12 and up - can serve as a caregiver with permission from the child's parent or guardian.

All patrons (including babies, toddlers, and children) must be wearing shoes in the library unless they are in a stroller or are being carried.

The Youth Department is a place of reading and quiet play with your child. Please remember to clean up toys after playing. Running, jumping, shouting, eating or any type of horseplay is prohibited.

Computer Policies

AWE Computer: 15 minutes sessions are allotted to each patron.

Youth Dept. Computers: 12 years of age and younger.

Parent Laptops: No printing is available at this time; Parents must be with their child. 30 minutes of time is allotted - great for checking email.

Lost Items

Lost materials are charged at the cost of the item, plus a $6.00 processing fee.
