The Library
The Pottstown Regional Public Library offers a variety of programs and services for adults. Popular programs include book discussion groups, Tai Chi classes, Crafter Club and Computer Classes. Individual help is available for job searching and help with e-readers.
Adults
The library offers children's programs throughout the year. Storytimes are offered for children of various ages groups, and may occur weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or seasonally.
Kids
The Cave is the library's teen room, and is home to books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, and Internet computers specifically for teens. The room includes a selection of free comic books, a flat-screen TV, and comfortable places to sit and hang out.
Teens
The Pottstown Regional Public Library is a passport application facility registered with the U.S. Department of State. Appointments are required. Plan on 4-6 weeks turnaround time from the Department of State.
Passports
Free computer and Internet access is available at the library, including WiFi. You can print (BW and color), scan and save to thumb drives. A cost recovery fee is charged for printing. Computer classes are given on a regular basis.
The Book Nook, the Friends used bookstore, is located on main level
of the library. In addition to a selection of
hardcovers, paperbacks, and videos, the Book Nook also offers coffee,
tea, hot chocolate, and a variety of gift items.
